Welcome to Tekkie!
My name is Connor and yes, I’m (another) blogger and your eyes don’t deceive you; my name does have two N’s in it (thanks mam!). I run my own data networking business in Dublin, Ireland and just because I tend to have a couple of minutes of free time to myself I thought it would be a good idea to help others with some of the knowledge that I’ve picked up over the years. I have plans to introduce other authors to delve into specific technological areas so I do plan on expanding the knowledge base soon. I love gaming and I have a fairly decent PC, Xbox One and 360 but I’ll probably leave that side of things to another author unless I can find the time to do it myself.
So, a little about me…..
I’ve been into tech as long as I can remember and as I mentioned before, I run a data networking business so my love of technology is also my job.
My love of computers started when my big bro got a Sinclair Spectrum 128k in the 80’s and I’ve been hooked ever since. A quick breakdown of the consoles in my house albeit not all mine:
If it needs a power source, I’m all over it! I’m lucky to be in a position to work in a space that I really enjoy and because I really enjoy it, I study it. I have qualifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and CompTIA in computing but as I didn’t really know what I wanted to do when I was younger, I only really started studying in the last 4 years.
I love gaming! In particular, any FPS game on any platform but I love my PC.I was dreaming about Fallout 4 for about 2 months before it came out. I’m not even joking! At the time it was released, I was working on a project abroad and didn’t even have time to play it for about 2 months after it came out 🙁 I’m also very fortunate in the fact that my wife also loves gaming and shares my love of technology to some extent. That is until something doesn’t work right because then she hates all technology.
As you would expect, I’m in love with technology (sorry to my beautiful wife) and my house is littered with some good and some bad tech from my cat flap that opens when it detects my cats microchip to a remote control helicopter that once it goes out of range of the controller it just goes up……and up and up until there is no more up to go to.
The aim of the site is to bring you new and exciting technology news, gaming news, reviews and maybe the odd rant or two but ill try and keep those limited. I hope you enjoy your time here and I thank you for visiting.
